Dr Barry Watson and friends putting up 20 barn owl nesting boxes on the Knepp Estate 2006 - they no longer need to rely on redundant farm buildings alone.

 The boxes should to be put on the lea ward side of the tree - away from the prevailing wind. The Owls need a clear "sweep" into the platform on the box.
