Our
pioneering Wildland project, committed to
enhancing biodiversity and nature
conservation, is threatened by a proposed
landfill site just 1/2 mile away. Cory
Environmental have submitted a planning
application to dump 4.1 million tonnes of
non-inert waste in Ibstock's clay pits at
Laybrook. Not only are we just
down-wind, but the water that rises in the
Lay Brook flows through our wildlife reserve
and could seriously jeopardise our
Environment Agency sponsored river
restoration project - designed to enhance
water quality and biodiversity.
