It is a joy to see the benefits that our
new ways of managing the Estate are bringing
to wildlife. We already had a wealth of
hedges, woodlands and wetlands, the plants
and animals of which are now spreading into
formerly arable or intensively grazed areas.
You will of course be able to watch our
cattle, ponies, deer and pigs at all times
of the year, as they roam across the Estate
picking and choosing what and where they
want to eat, shelter or just laze in the
sunshine. But there is plenty more to see!
Details of the ecological and wildlife
surveys can be viewed on wildland
surveys,
but if you just want to enjoy a walk or ride
along our public footpaths and bridleways,
here are snapshots of what to look out for
throughout the year.
